Camping Michealangelo
With the motorhome repaired, we set off once again not knowing quite where we would end up! Before long we decided to revisit Florence in Tuscany and made our way to the campsite at Piazza Michelangelo. The position we were given this time was not as good as previous visits, when we had spectacular views over the rooftops of Florence.
To cap it all, just as soon as we were ready to go down into the city, the heavens opened with thunder, lightening and torrential rain, so we stayed put.
The next morning the sun was shining and we took a pleasant walk from Piazza Michelangelo down through the rose gardens into Florence. It was a good decision to revisit this very beautiful city and meander around. We wandered around a different area to those we had previously visited, eating lunch in a cafe in the central market, which was good and reasonably priced.
Bernard did not buy me any jewellery from the gold boutiques on the Ponte Vecchio for my approaching birthday, the meanie! It was fun just window shopping.
As usual, we were totally exhausted so we took the bus back to the campsite and flopped down for a well earned siesta.
